During my recent jaunt to Galway, I found myself at the Galway Arms Inn, a cozy little spot just a stone's throw from the river. While it’s not smack-dab in the city center, the location is perfect for those looking to explore the beautiful surroundings, including the stunning Cliffs of Moher just a short drive away. The reception, nestled within the charming pub, was delightful—getting our keys with a refreshing drink in hand set a welcoming tone for our stay. We checked into room on the first floor. Our room was quaint and functional, though the running toilet was a bit of a bother. While the staff tried to rectify the issue, we opted for a bit of adventure around town instead. I commend the staff for their professionalism; they offered a refund and didn’t make a fuss when we decided to leave. Highlighting the positives, the inn itself is clean and equipped with all the essentials, making it an economical choice for budget travelers like my friends and me. Plus, the proximity to local attractions ensured our days were filled with fun, including a visit to the Galway Jazz Festival—an event that added a fantastic rhythm to our trip. The Galway Arms Inn might have its quirks, but the hospitality and its location make it a viable option for anyone looking to soak in the essence of Galway!
